I was born in Washington, D.C. and moved to Colorado as a child. Before moving to Nebraska, I attended the University of Northern Colorado at Greeley. My degrees were earned from UNK, where I am currently a member of the adjunct faculty.
I have been accepted for art shows throughout Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska and have been chosen to exhibit my artwork at the Governor’s Mansion in Lincoln on two occasions. Local exhibits I have participated in include; Bravo MONA art auction, Kappa Pi Art Honorary, National Art Education Association, Association of Nebraska Art Clubs, Adjunct Faculty and Alumni Art Shows at UNK, Prairie Lights Showcase, Kearney Artist Guild spring and fall shows, UNK’s Faculty Show at MONA, Cranes on Parade and Kearney’s Art in the Park. My watercolor, Abundance, is part of the Nebraska art collection.
My work consists of watercolor, acrylics and mixed media on paper and canvas. It represents everyday experiences and observations of favorite objects, places, shapes and textures.
I believe participating in Cranes on Parade II is an opportunity to highlight the importance of art in our society and to benefit our community.
